Our Pennsylvania Founding Farmers in King of Prussia is Taking Shape

The team at Founding Farmers is starting to get seriously excited about the upcoming opening of our latest restaurant in King of Prussia. In fact, we’re all a bit giddy to share the great progress we are making to bring our farmer-owned, tasty scratch-made goodness to this bustling suburb of Philadelphia in the fall.

Construction is moving at a steady pace, and our space is beginning to take a shape that all of us can see, not just the architects and designers. What was once a large, wide-open, cement-floored building is slowly beginning to show the character and layout of the two-story restaurant, bar, cafe, and creamery it will become.

We won’t share all of the nitty gritty, hard-hat details, but we now have some of the essentials. We have our two floors and the stairway to take you in between them, as well as many necessary walls, doors, and cabinets. The kitchen equipment is being delivered. We are also working on our design elements, laying our beautiful tiles on floors and installing barn beams reclaimed from regional farms. As with all of our restaurants, we are working with artists to commission and install various sculptures, paintings, and stained glass.

The first floor will be our Founding Farmers First Bake Cafe & Creamery, which will include everything from bagels and pizzas to our house-churned ice cream and fresh baked breads. All offerings can be eaten on site at the counter or small tables, or taken to go.

Up our newly built staircase will be our Founding Farmers full-service dining room and bar. With floor to ceiling windows, and even windows along the ceiling, the area feels open, spacious, and bright. Yet we are also creating multiple different seating areas so our guests have lots of options when dining with us. We’ll have a cozy nook, booths that resemble barns, a cheerful sunroom, and plenty of great seats at our bar. In addition, we will have a private dining room available for special events and celebrations.

There is a lot coming together up in King of Prussia. We hope you’re as excited as we are. To stay up-to-date on our progress and all the happenings in this great new location, be sure to follow our social media pages at FacebookInstagram, and Twitter.
