Founding Farmers Supports Hogs & Honeys Foundation for Kids
Founding Farmers King of Prussia was honored to participate in the Hogs & Honeys Foundation for Kids 2019 Spring Fling this past Saturday, March 30th. The non-profit is celebrating 15 years of gathering together to help disadvantaged children throughout the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania area, and we couldn’t be more proud to support such a great cause.

Founding Farmers and The Turkey Trot
Our Founding Farmers Reston Station team trotted out to Vienna, VA to serve as sponsor and support to the participants of the 16th annual Vienna Turkey Trot today. We loved seeing our logo on event t-shirts as we cheered on the 5k, 10k, and Kids Fun Run racers, all while serving our famous Farmers Donuts and special blend of our First Bake Blend coffee to the runners and fans who gathered this morning at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department.
Taking Our Last Straw to the DC Council
Co-Owner Dan Simons took to DC’s government halls on Friday, testifying at a hearing on plastic straws and stirrers. Speaking before the DC Committee on Transportation and the Environment, Simons encouraged the council to pass the bill that prohibits the sale, use, or provision of non-compostable straws and stirring implements by food service entities, beginning January 1, 2019 with one change: replace the word “compostable” with “biodegradable.” At Founding Farmers, we made the switch to biodegradable straws over a year ago.
