General's Parlor
If you are looking for a great private dining room in the heart of Washington, D.C., Founding Farmers & Distillers has one of the city’s best-kept private dining secrets. For a private banquet, a festive party, an office retreat, an all-out celebration, or just a great meal with good friends, our General’s Parlor dining room is an excellent choice for a private party.
Tucked away on the lower level of Founding Farmers & Distillers, this private dining room is our creative interpretation of what an intimate dinner at George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate would feel like, with exceptional artwork and furnishings designed to take you back in time and provide a truly special experience.
The General’s Parlor is ideally designed for parties of up to 16 guests and can be reserved every day for every meal. We offer prix fixe menus, served or buffet style, which we can tailor to provide the perfect meal and experience for you, your guests, and your budget.
Our General’s Parlor also has AV equipment and a television available for those looking to have a working session while they dine. However, those accommodations can be completely hidden, so your party can be entirely tech free if that is your preference.

Barn Wedding Room
Our Barn Wedding room is ideal for a casual, sit-down dinner. This separate but open dining room sits adjacent to our main dining area, and features cozy booths underneath barn beams and beautiful glass pendant lighting. Using multiple booths and tables arranged in near proximity creates a lively, semi-private dining experience amidst the ebb and flow of our main dining area. Depending on the size of your party and your budget, we can arrange a prix fixe menu or serve from our full menu.
Seats: 20-28 guests
Pleasure Garden
For “mix & mingle” style events that are more casual and don’t necessarily require a private area, a section of our bar, with a view of our Founding Spirits distillery, is available to reserve. Perfect for an after-work cocktail hour or celebration with friends, including light-filled daytime events, this semi-private space is located alongside our lively bar area and separate from our main dining room, comfortably holding up to 47 seated guests at up to nine booths and tables.
We will arrange a prix fixe menu, which can include a focus on our specialty craft cocktails made in our nearby bar.
Seats: Up to 47 guests
Reception: Up to 55 guests, with some seating
The Parlor
Adjacent to our First Bake Cafe coffee and dessert counter and part of our main dining room, The Parlor is an ideal location for a breakfast or lunch event. We open this space up only for your guests, making your party feel special and also part of the overall Founding Farmers & Distillers experience. Given the larger scale of the room, we work with you to develop the perfect prix fixe menu, usually served buffet style, for your event and guests.
