Founding Farmers Tysons: Happy to Host Local Girl Scout Troop
Our Founding Farmers Tysons team was thrilled to host a local, Virginia-area Girl Scout troop recently and swap stories and insight on farmer-owned restaurant concept development and the life of busy, engaging, interested teenage Girl Scouts!
As we welcome any opportunity to empower, nurture, and support our local communities, including the youth poised to shape our future, we were honored when approached by this local troop of culturally diverse, middle school-aged girls. Many in the group have made personal choices to become vegan and/or vegetarian and all were seemingly interested in learning about our company, our sustainability practices, and our commitment serving the highest-quality food we can to all our guests.
Greeted by one of our Senior Service Managers, they were soon taken on a tour through our restaurant and kitchen. The girls loved getting a sneak peek look into our operations and the talented people behind our restaurant before the craziness of the dinner rush began.
Once the kitchen started to swell with servers running out the countless dinner orders and the girls had their fill of our behind-the-scenes story, they sat at one of our ‘bedroom booth’ tables to enjoy a delicious Founding Farmers dinner.
We were so happy to welcome them to our ‘FARMily’ and wish them good luck in all their future endeavors!
