Cycling Into Spring with One of Our Own
As a farmer-owned company, supporting our team and our local community is built into our DNA. So, when one of our own builds a local, homegrown cycling team that needs support, we’re all in.
For the second year in a row, Farmers Restaurant Group is happy to back a local, homegrown elite cycling squad registered as a USA Cycling Domestic Elite Team. The women’s squad of the Total Civil Construction p/b Battley-Harley Davidson, of which their men’s team has been cycling around the DC metro area for the last 14 years, is directed by our very own Design Director, Angela Parrotta.
Angela and her fierce fellow cyclists on the women’s team are riding into this year’s racing season with over 14 wins and appearances on over 40 podiums under their belts… or more fittingly, their jerseys – which are provided by Cutaway USA and of course designed by Angela. These cool, hard-to-miss, bright pink jerseys display our Founding Farmers logo on the back. The men’s squad has other colors, but also sport Founding Farmers.
Look for them around town as they work towards another winning season. Wave hello or applaud if you see them. And be sure to follow their progress on Facebook and Instagram. You can also come cheer them on June 9th at the Ride Sally Ride race, which takes place close to our Founding Farmers Reston Station. Who knows? They’ve been known to dine with us after local races, so maybe you can even congratulate these amazingly dedicated racers in person. As always, we recommend making a reservation.
