Calling All Kennedy Center Theater Goers

In case you missed it, the international musical sensation “Hamilton” has finally arrived in the Nation’s Capital and will be running from August 2 to October 9  at the Kennedy Center. Just in time for Fall, locals and tourists alike will flock to The Kennedy Center for entertainment and then flock to the historic Georgetown Waterfront to enjoy food and drinks with stunning views of the Potomac River.

The Kennedy Center has an impressive Fall and Winter lineup of performances guaranteed to delight and enchant. You can catch the National Symphony Orchestra’s Leonard Bernstein’s MASS from September 15-18, the Washington National Opera’s Elektra from October 29 to November 12, or another acclaimed musical, Dear Evan Hansen, through September 25. If you’re a dance lover, the Mark Morris Dance Company is in town at the end of October and the Kansas City Ballet is performing the Nutcracker at the end of November. There’s also a full calendar of comedy from David Sedaris in October to Riot! in March and David Regan in April.

Check out the Kennedy Center’s Events & Tickets page to plan your next show.

Once you’ve picked your show and date, make a plan to join us at Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers to extend your show time fun. Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers provides a great before and after destination for all Kennedy Center theatergoers. We are close enough to the Kennedy Center to serve you before or after your show, whether you need a quick bite to eat, including some of our favorite shared plates, or want a comfortable gathering place for drinks, a full meal, or just dessert.
