Founding Farmers is coming to Tysons, VA in the fall
Have you heard about our newest addition to the Farmers Restaurant Group? Founding Farmers Tysons (FFT) opens this fall in the Price Waterhouse Coopers building at 1800 Tysons Blvd. in the heart of Tysons Corner, VA. FFT will embody the same principles and steadfast beliefs showcased in our Foggy Bottom, DC and Potomac, MD, MoCo locations, with a focus and dedication to the American family farmers, farm fresh food and drink, and sustainability at every turn.
We are excited about the new initiatives and exciting highlights that embrace the culinary spirit and traditions of Virginia, as seen Through The Eyes of the (Founding) Farmer, including butchering out own meat in-house, making our own sun tea, and wonderful new desserts we can’t wait to share with you!
Follow updates of our progress through construction and the opening in late fall (date is still TBD!) here, via Twitter @FarmersTysonsVA or like our new Facebook page: Founding Farmers Tysons. See you in NoVA in the fall!

Since September 2008, our award-winning restaurant has been one of the country’s leading dining destinations to offer farm-inspired American True Food & Drink in modern, casual, and eco-friendly settings. From our modern farmhouse designs, to our breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch menus that include homemade and “scratch-made” traditional American classics inspired by the heartland, everything we do is seen ‘Through The Eyes of The Farmer.’
The original Founding Farmers in the heart of Washington, D.C. is owned by a collective of American family farmers. We source our fresh products from family farms, ranches, and fisheries across the United States. We celebrate and share the longstanding connection between farmers — the first to lead the “green” movement — and their historic stewardship of natural resources.
We believe that everyone benefits by knowing more about the sources of the food they eat; we work diligently to ensure our restaurants walk the talk on matters of sustainability. We’re not an organic restaurant, nor is it possible for us to source everything locally, take comfort knowing that when ingredients are available locally and it is sensible for us to buy them, we do so, and EVERYTHING that we serve or prepare is fresh. We have no freezers – except for our ice cream!
We look forward to seeing you — and to sharing the best of our True Food & Drink.
Founding Farmers is dedicated to environmentally friendly practices at every turn. We are proud to say that our flagship location in Washington, D.C. is the city's first LEED Gold Certified restaurant. It's also a Certified Green Restaurant and offsets its annual greenhouse gas emissions through Carbonfund.org. Our Montgomery County, Md. location, also a Certified Green Restaurant, is LEED Silver Certified and fully powered through wind energy.
