Revving it up for Valley Forge Park
This weekend, Founding Farmers King of Prussia returned to The Valley to sponsor the Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run® for the second year in a row. Over the years, the run (dubbed “Rev Run”) has raised over $400k in support of Valley Forge National Historical Park.
We love being part of such a great local event and are always psyched to help keep our surrounding landscape, and our neighbors, healthy. Our team handed out our scratch-made First Bake granola and brought along one of our pink goats from artist Darla Jackson to add a little whimsy while cheering on the racers.
At the finish line, we overheard talks of the beautiful scenery and historical landmarks along the park’s Joseph Plumb Martin Trail. We couldn’t help but wonder if next year, a few of us might be wearing a race number too and participating in the 5-mile run or the 3-mile walk.
In the meantime, if you want to get more of our delicious granola, pick some up at our First Bake Cafe & Creamery or stay for breakfast. We always recommend you treat yourself. Stay & enjoy an ice cream cone with one of our house-churned flavors like vanilla or our Founding Spirits American Whiskey & Cornflakes, inspired by the taste of our very own, award-winning distillery’s Founding Spirits American Whiskey.
Join us upstairs at Founding Farmers for lunch or dinner too. If possible, we recommend making a reservation. Or just stop by to see more of our pink goats or any of our original, commissioned artwork, much of which is inspired by Pennsylvania’s beautiful countryside.
