Negroni Week: Benefits Veterans in a New Field
Founding Farmers DC and Farmers Fishers Bakers in Georgetown are excited to participate in Negroni Week 2015! We are always thrilled to hear about efforts to raise money for charitable organizations, while pairing it with celebrating one of the world’s greatest cocktails: The Negroni! This year, Monday, June 1st through Sunday, June 7th, we will feature an exclusive Negroni-inspired cocktail menu created by Beverage Director Jon Arroyo and Founding Farmers DC’s Head Bartender Bob Vanlancker. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Veterans in a New Field for all cocktails sold through the specialty menu during Negroni Week. Please, stop by either location participating, support a great cause, and sip on a truly delicious and new take on a classic cocktail!
A little about Veterans in a New Field…
This amazing organization helps our veterans take the field in sustainable agriculture. They train willing veterans to manage their farm businesses, use ecologically-sound agricultural practices, apply low-cost and low-input production systems, participate in local & regional food markets, and use their talents and passions to integrate value-added products into their farm plan.
